'what do we have when have nothing?'
Kieran and Rachel are kidnapped and separated by a brick wall. They only have each other
in the darkness - and Walkers Ready Salted crisps.
When the captives find out they're more familiar than they initially realise, a delicate prawn
cocktail of deeper connections and complications is created, entangling them in a deep,
desperate, symbiotic web.
A study of prolonged isolation, sensory starvation and a celebration of
the resilience it takes to survive. 'we eat crisps (in the dark)' is all at once humorous and devastating, painting a portrait of everyday life in captivity, weaving together a tapestry of loneliness, lust and trust.
Performed in the absence of light, a shadowy spotlight is put on the little things we hold dear
in times of crisis.
Please enjoy a whimsical and snack filled stroll through the world's sh*ttest situation.
An ode to hope (and the lack thereof), the feeling of being inescapably trapped and branded thinly fried potatoes.
